⛺ Beach / Shoreline Camping Available!

Guests without sleeping quarters on the Sapphire can camp ashore at two boat-in only campgrounds on the reservoir — both accessible directly from the houseboat:

  • Garden Point Campground (Tahoe National Forest) — 16 tent sites with beach access, campfire rings, picnic tables, tent pads & vault toilets. ~3 miles from Emerald Cove Marina by boat, ~1 mile from Dark Day. Reserve at Recreation.gov. $24/night single, $48/night double.
  • Frenchy Point Campground — Smaller boat-in site on the reservoir, seasonally dependent. First-come, first-served.

⚠️ No water at Garden Point — bring your own. No road access; boat-in only. Fire restrictions may apply in summer.

⚠️ Important Reminders

  • Linens/towels NOT included — bring bedding for your specific bed size
  • No glass containers on the water (use cans/plastic)
  • Life jackets required when underway for children under 13
  • Fishing license required in California waters
  • Check-out is 9:00 AM Monday — plan accordingly
  • Marine toilets only — no flushing wipes or paper towels
